Beyonce for H&M Summer Collection

A partnership between H&M and Beyoncé was announced for the Swedish fashion giant’ summer campaign.

The Pop superstar will appear in television and print ads featuring pieces from the H&M summer collection.

In January one of the singer’s dancers tweeted about this and quickly deleted the post but the rumors about the new face for H&M spread. Now the collaboration is official. Previous famous names to front the label's adverts include Gisele Bundchen, Jerry Hall, Imogen Poots, David Beckham and Freja Beha Erichsen.

The prints introduce "Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M” with the idea that women can be different things, from vulnerable to strong, sensual, fun, and flirtatious.

“I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements - fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial,” says Beyoncé.

The clothes will be available in stores all over the world starting May. The campaign features swimwear and beachwear pieces as well as a tie-dye bikini from this summer’s H&M for Water collection. 25% of sales from the H&M for Water collection will be donated to H&M for WaterAid.
