Get ready for summer

Dreaming of the sun, colorful flip-flops and fabulous tan? Who doesn’t? Here are some tips to help you look amazing in your swimsuit and get ready for the summer.

Exercising is the key. First of all, exercise releases endorphins, and endorphins make you happy.

The best exercises when it comes to slimming down fast are the heart-pumping, fast-paced ones. David Kirsch, a celebrity trainer recommends bumping up a cardio routine of "running, rowing, swimming, cycling or elliptical training, 45 to 60 minutes, 4 to 5 times per week to expedite weight loss." He also said that for those who can’t find an hour to work out a 10 minute "express workout" that gets your heart pumping a couple of times a day will give you great results. You can do this by climbing stairs, jumping jacks or taking a sprint.

Do not drink your calories. So, avoid sodas or juices that aren’t made by you from fruits and vegetables. Sodas have almost no nutritional value and are guaranteed to bloat your body. You add extra calories to your daily diet and if you were to replace just one caloric drink a day with water, you can lose two pounds a month! “Stick to greens like spinach, broccoli, kale, and asparagus (a natural diuretic), as well as snacks like raw almonds, red peppers, and celery," Kirsch says. Also, drink a lot of water.

Load up on healthy fats. "Fat is your friend," It satiates you, which in turn quells sugar and white flour cravings. Find good-for-you fats in avocado, olive oil, and fish. Also, choose natural sweeteners like Stevia because it is not a chemical and won't cause your insulin levels to spike.

If you follow these simple rules, exercise and eat healthy you are making the first steps to an amazing body ready for the summer.
