Part Time Finance Executive

Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, the internal controls and practical segregation of duties to minimise risks of error and fraud.

- Oversee the risk assessment and internal controls in SG and all updates to SOP to ensure compliance with SSC financial guidelines.

- Supports the Management Committee (MC) to ensure compliance with the Code of Governance for Charities and all other relevant statutes and regulations.

- Supports the MC to build the culture of compliance and that fit for purpose controls is essential to achieving the objectives of SG.

- Revise and design new controls for operational changes or new activities

- Review the operation of the controls and prepare monthly financial highlights, any internal control deviations, receivables overdue, revenue and cost variances against the budget for MC management action or funding issues.

- Design and guide the annual exercise of update of the plan and the budget to meet the objectives of the plan.

- Coordination of the fund raising plan ensuring sound controls for fund-raising.

The position supervises the bookkeeper and reports serious deviations and the course of action to the Audit Committee immediately.
