Review of Lenovo Vibe Z

The Chinese manufacturer is the leader on the laptop market and now it moves to the smart devices sector. Its new device, Vibe Z was received very well at the yearly Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas, this year.

Technology lovers regret the fact that operators weren't offering it in the US. It seems that the priority market outside China is the GCC region, until they will reach the western market.

The new device is the first LTE enabled Smartphone the company produced and the design is a lot less clunky than the previous models. It’s less than 8mm thick and has around 147 grams despite the 5.5 inch display. The premium features include a solid metal frame and a laser-itched polycarbonate back.

The IPS LCD capacitive touch screen features bright colours and gives the best video experience. The battery, a non-detachable large 3000 mAh one, gives you the opportunity to use the phone for an entire day, and this period can easily by extended.

A problem might be the fact that there is no SD card slot available to extend the 16 gigabytes memory, but you have the cloud-based apps that help a lot.

The processor is a premium one with the ultra-powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 running. This gives a stronger performance and better battery life.

The rear camera has 13 MP and gives great low-light shots with a large aperture. The 5 MP wide-angle front camera is way better compared to Smartphones from the same category.

Vibe Z uses the latest Android 4.3 operating system which Lenovo redesigned it with a more organized interface.
