Top 3 Singapore Fashion Designers

Singapore may not rank amongst the fashion powerhouses of Paris, Milan or New York, but that doesn't mean they're short of creative talents in this field. Below are the top 3 designers Singapore has to offer:

Ashley Isham

Born Eshamuddin Ismail, fashion designer Ashley Isham is one of Singapore's most prominent figures in fashion. Ashley Isham left Singapore in 1996 to take a pattern cutting course at the London College of Fashion, and was later accepted into the prestigious Central St Martin's College in London after he managed to impress the interviewers with his portfolio. He rose to international fame after showing his Autumn/Winter 2003 collection during the London Fashion Week. Ashley Isham opened his flagship boutique, Ashley, in London in 2005.

Benny Ong

Benny Ong is born in 1949. His work is produced under his own label, The Ong, which is sold in New York City, and throughout Europe.

Known as the 'Prince of Gowns' among leading fashion designers in Asia and the West, Singaporean fashion pioneer and leading designer Benny Ong has established a global brand name with his signature evening dresses.

Jo Soh

With a signature style that juxtaposes the strong and the subtle, Jo Soh's Hansel collection is designed to cater to the modern woman and features original prints in all the collections. Named after her beloved Jack Russell Terrier, her Hansel label can be found at her boutiques in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Australia.

The latest line from Hansel is a collection named "Lily the Lady", which balances feminine sophistication with youthful play through Swarovski crystal pearl and crotchet lace features.
